Senior Actuary (Healthcare)

Location: Remote-IN; fully remote within the United States, with Eastern and Central time zones preferred

Salary: $134,600–$249,000 per year

What you will do

• Conduct actuarial analysis, pricing, and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes.
• Run and analyze market-level results using CDPS+RX and similar risk adjustment models.
• Serve as the point of contact for an assigned group of markets.
• Apply mathematics, probability, statistics, finance, and business principles to calculate financial outcomes.
• Develop probability tables and determine equitable funding allocations for insurance benefits.
• Support data analytics, complex data validation, quality assurance, and process automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• Either 7+ years of actuarial experience with an ASA certification, or 5+ years of actuarial experience with an FSA certification.
• Fellow or Associate in the Society of Actuaries certification and MAAA membership are required.
• Strong coding and data analytics skills, particularly SQL and large-scale data analysis.
• Strong experience with data validation, data manipulation, and quality assurance.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative skills.
• Ability to learn and implement new technologies and processes and translate complex analyses into actionable business insights.

Nice to have

• Healthcare actuarial experience.
• Medicaid experience.
• Experience with risk adjustment models, SAS, Snowflake, healthcare data, and process automation.
