Windows System Administrator (SA2) (Government)

Location: Columbia, Maryland, United States; full-time onsite five days per week. No relocation is offered.

Salary: $98,100–$153,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Administer daily operations, availability, configuration, patching, capacity, tuning, and upgrades for physical and virtual IT systems.
• Install software releases, system upgrades, patches, workstations, servers, printers, and network components; troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Perform backups, recovery, data-integrity monitoring, testing, and system acceptance for new and existing hardware and software.
• Provide second- and third-tier technical support across computing hardware, software, desktop, server, LAN/WAN, voice, and video environments in a 24x7 operation.
• Engineer solutions, develop administrative policies and procedures, maintain documentation, and establish system administration guidelines.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, application programmers, and network support groups on requirements, training, hardware/software delivery, staging, and installation planning.

Requirements

• Ten years of hands-on systems administration experience required.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification; Security+ is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Experience with standard DevOps concepts, practices, and procedures, plus the ability to research and engineer new solutions.
