Senior System Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Herndon, Virginia; based out of the Herndon, VA office with potential local travel to other sites.

Salary: $140,000–$208,000 USD annualized.

What you will do

• Engineer and maintain classified and unclassified networks.
• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and workstations.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, access controls, and security policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including outage support as needed.
• Perform system backups and data recovery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting an IC community classified network, such as JWICS, as a System Engineer, Network Engineer, or Network Administrator.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced professional industry certifications and additional experience may substitute.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• 8140 certification such as Security+, GCISP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+, CISM, CISSP, or CCNA.
• Solid experience supporting Windows servers and workstations, with working knowledge of Linux.
• Solid experience with routers, switches, and firewalls, including experience building a firewall.
• Experience setting up network access storage (NAS).
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow and Talon.
• Working knowledge of government regulations and frameworks including DAAPM, NIST SP 800-53, and NIST SP 800-171, plus a basic understanding of security compliance matrices.
