Sr. System Administrator (Windows/MECM)

Location: Montgomery, Alabama; onsite.

Salary: $78,880–$108,500 per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership, architecture direction, standards, and lifecycle strategies for Windows servers and related infrastructure.
• Administer Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, file and print services, VMware, SQL, and backup and restoration environments.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security; perform tuning, patching, remediation, integration testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Support Help Desk teams through ITSM ticket management, desktop and laptop OS image maintenance, PC imaging, and user account creation with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
• Design, test, evaluate, and deploy infrastructure solutions based on technical limitations, business needs, system criticality, service delivery, and cost effectiveness.
• Manage technical projects from requirements through completion, including documentation, stakeholder coordination, and formal cross-team meetings.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a primary administrator supporting Windows Server, VMware, and Microsoft Exchange environments.
• Strong expertise in Windows infrastructure administration, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support.
• Experience with PC imaging and user account provisioning using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including logical issue assessment and implementation of effective technical solutions.
• Strong organizational and project execution skills, including planning, prioritization, coordination, and on-time delivery.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork and positive engagement with internal and external customers.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• MCSE: Core Infrastructure certification.
• Microsoft Exchange Server certification.
• Experience in enterprise or multi-site IT environments.
