Operational Excellence Lead

Location: Remote in the United States, New York City, or Oakland, CA

Salary: $135,000 or $155,000 annually, depending on seniority

What you will do

• Run performance-versus-plan and OKR processes, planning cycles, cross-functional reviews, and organizational communications.
• Clarify ownership, decision-making, escalation paths, action items, and follow-through across teams.
• Build analyses in tools such as Looker to diagnose transitions, usage, CSAT, launch momentum, and other core impact metrics.
• Develop business cases for headcount, RFP, and resourcing decisions, and track ROI over time.
• Partner with leaders on strategic challenges, performance management, promotions, organizational design, and the critical-path portfolio.
• Define requirements for revenue operations, AI and tooling ROI, and cloud or personnel cost dashboards.

Requirements

• Senior operator experience, likely from product management, product operations, or program management.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort pulling independent analyses from tools such as Looker.
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to build ownership with senior, strong-willed leaders without dictating.
• Excellent synthesis, written communication, clarity, simplification, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to constructively challenge partners, stress-test thinking, and remain composed amid interpersonal complexity.
• Significant seniority and scope from day one; this is a senior hire, not an entry point into strategy work.
• Experience in government, public-sector, B2G, mission-driven, or nonprofit organizations.
• Experience running OKR or performance-versus-plan processes at scale.
