Performance Improvement Operations Consulting Manager

Location: Hybrid; preferred locations are Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; and Nashville, TN. Weekly travel from Sunday evening to Thursday evening is required. Employment eligibility in the United States must be verified; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $123,500.00–$197,500.00 per year

What you will do

• Assess client environments through operational and shop-floor observations and identify financial improvement opportunities.
• Analyze operational, financial, and process performance and develop executable improvement strategies.
• Lead process reengineering, modeling, Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop internal controls and organizational metrics dashboards based on regulations and client needs.
• Deliver training and coach and mentor Project Champions.
• Execute assigned scopes, deliver on time and within budget, and partner with clients to capture savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a relevant field.
• At least five years of manufacturing operations and/or consulting experience; operations consulting experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel weekly from Sunday evening to Thursday evening.
• Proven initiative, ownership, creative problem-solving, and ability to assess results in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts and business impacts to executives and diverse audiences.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Nice to have

• MBA, master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Extensive operations consulting experience focused on large-scale performance improvements.
• Proficiency in Power BI and other advanced analytical tools.
