Sr. Manager, Operational Excellence (AI)

Location: Norwood, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid 70/30 work model with 70% in-office collaboration. Only U.S. persons are eligible due to U.S. export control requirements.

Salary: $130,800–$209,400 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award.

What you will do

• Lead complex, cross-functional operational improvement initiatives across CMC and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Structure ambiguous problems, test hypotheses, identify root causes, and translate insights into actionable improvements.
• Set improvement approaches for complex portfolios and facilitate cross-functional alignment, tradeoff discussions, decisions, and execution.
• Design practical future states with standard work, measures, ownership, decision rights, approvals, escalation paths, and change adoption.
• Coach teams in problem framing, root-cause analysis, method selection, benefit assumptions, and sustained adoption.
• Explore and apply digital tools, automation, AI, and emerging technologies to improve work and realize benefits.

Requirements

• Relevant bachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering, science, or an approved equivalent.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience driving process improvement, process capability, performance management, and change adoption.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement, structured problem solving, performance management, and change adoption.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, exercise sound judgment, and ensure improvements are adopted, sustained, and deliver expected value.
• Learning agility and ability to quickly understand new concepts, processes, and technologies.
• Clear communication, priority management, and effective collaboration across disciplines.
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Eligibility as a U.S. person under U.S. export control requirements; non-U.S. persons cannot be sponsored for an export control license.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma problem solving, Kata coaching, Agile ways of working, or other structured problem-solving and delivery approaches.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience applying digital tools, analytics, automation, low-code/no-code solutions, generative AI, or emerging technologies to business process improvement.
• Experience coaching others in problem solving, continuous improvement, or change adoption.
