Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must be based in one of hirify.global’s hiring hubs: the US, UK, Spain, Kenya, Ghana, or Canada, or in an operating market in Africa, including Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Mali, The Gambia, Uganda, Niger, Sierra Leone, and Cameroon. The role includes a one-week team immersion trip and additional travel to a market country twice per year.

Salary: Up to $187,000 USD annually, based on location and paid in the local-currency equivalent, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design and expand features for hirify.global’s Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, user researchers, engineers, and data analysts throughout the feature lifecycle.
• Create high- and low-fidelity designs, interactions, prototypes, and mobile concepts using Figma and Claude.
• Plan and conduct user research, speak with customers, and validate solutions through user testing.
• Contribute to the design system and component library, including detailed visual and interaction work.
• Present product decisions, iterate designs based on feedback, and balance customer, business, and technical tradeoffs.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of end-to-end, in-house product design experience with a consumer focus and mobile applications.
• Experience with low- and high-fidelity design and prototyping with LLMs on Android mobile apps.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent visual and interaction design skills, including reducing friction in user flows and maintaining a high level of visual craft.
• Strong illustration and animation skills; experience with After Effects, Lottie, or tools that can produce Lottie files.
• Ability to deliver polished, high-quality designs quickly and iterate separate concepts for user testing.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain design reasoning and work with designers, engineers, researchers, analysts, and product managers.
• Ability to reason through complex interactions, edge cases, design-system details, and solution tradeoffs.
• Curiosity about customer behaviors and needs, and experience balancing business goals, customer needs, and technical constraints.

Nice to have

• French language skills, including the ability to speak, read, and write French.
• Experience balancing multiple projects and working autonomously across the full product lifecycle.
