Lead Product Designer - Spend and Expense (Fintech)

Location: Remote-first within the United States, with office spaces in San Jose, California and Draper, Utah.

Estimated annual salary: $140,800–$169,000, $149,100–$178,900, or $165,700–$198,800 USD depending on geographic zone.

What you will do

• Design solutions for complex and ambiguous spend and expense management problems.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to establish product vision and make high-impact design decisions.
• Lead design projects from concept through launch while aligning design with product and business strategy.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative, high-quality design culture.
• Explore and evaluate opportunities to expand core product capabilities for small businesses and enterprise suppliers.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of product design experience, including a proven track record of taking projects from concept to launch.
• Ability to solve complex customer problems and balance user needs with business objectives.
• High standards for design quality, including design systems, edge cases, and polished product experiences.
• Experience talking to customers, testing assumptions, and iterating based on feedback.
• Ability to clearly articulate design decisions, build alignment around a vision, and mentor other designers.
• Fluency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in FinTech or a related industry.
