Senior Product Designer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design process for Nota, from discovery and problem definition through detailed design, validation, delivery, and iteration.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, business stakeholders, Compliance, Legal, and Risk to translate customer, regulatory, and business needs into digital experiences.
• Plan and conduct customer research, interviews, usability testing, and other discovery activities for attorneys, law firms, and their banking needs.
• Facilitate Nota’s client advisory council and use customer feedback to validate concepts, inform product decisions, and identify future opportunities.
• Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for complex banking, account management, and trust account workflows.
• Contribute to roadmap and prioritization discussions, design-system collaboration, usability improvements, and consistent experiences across Business and Wealth banking.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or a similar field, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience; alternatively, a combined minimum of 7 years of education and/or relevant product design work experience.
• Experience designing workflow-intensive, enterprise, or form-heavy experiences, preferably in regulated industries.
• Ability to apply user-centered design methods throughout the product lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Figma and modern design tools such as Adobe CC and Miro.
• Clear communication, stakeholder collaboration, and ability to incorporate feedback into design work.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices.
• Experience working with agile development teams and iterating based on feedback and data.
• Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, advocate for customers, and contribute to the broader design practice without direct reports.

Nice to have

• Experience designing financial services, fintech, legal technology, or other complex regulated digital products.
• Experience as an early or embedded designer on a small cross-functional product team, including establishing design practices and working across multiple design areas.
• Experience working directly with customers through research, advisory councils, customer panels, or other ongoing feedback programs.
