Senior Program Analyst (Remote Opportunity)

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert on VA cutover extract processes and refine extraction logic and methodology.
• Maintain extract routines transferring clinical data such as appointments, medications, lab orders, and consults during site conversions.
• Support pre-go-live, go-live, and post-go-live activities, ensuring data completeness and accuracy for newly onboarded VA medical centers.
• Maintain DAWA and related tools, analyze discrepancies between legacy and new EHR systems, and coordinate remediation with technical teams.
• Create extract runbooks, site tracking sheets, validation documentation, support logs, and lessons-learned materials.
• Monitor conversion readiness, support go/no-go decisions, and collaborate with data engineers, clinical SMEs, and government stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline, or eight additional years of relevant experience substituted for the degree.
• 10+ years of experience, including support for large-scale federal programs focused on data migration, system implementation, or healthcare IT.
• Demonstrated experience creating, executing, and supporting data extracts in complex healthcare environments.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data domains, including appointments, medications, labs, and consults, and their relationship to EHR implementations.
• Familiarity with DAWA and the ability to support its ongoing functionality and user interactions.
• Ability to lead and support remote, multidisciplinary teams under high-pressure timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting data quality findings and progress updates to senior stakeholders.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting EHR go-lives at the VA or other federal healthcare agencies.
• Working knowledge of the VX130 platform and associated data flows.
• Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, and Excel-based analysis and tracking tools.
• Experience with data verification in mirrored IRIS or HealthShare environments.
• PMI-PBA, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
• Experience using AI tools to analyze extract results, refine and troubleshoot extract logic and SQL, maintain documentation, summarize readiness indicators, and prepare go/no-go briefings, with analyst validation of all AI-generated findings and changes.
• Familiarity with secure and responsible AI use in federal healthcare environments, including protecting PHI/PII, using agency-approved tools, and following VA and federal AI guidance.
