Cloud Application Modernization Senior Staff Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: United States; must reside in or near one of the designated collaboration hubs: Costa Mesa, San Jose, Allen, Austin, Franklin, New York, Schaumburg, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Boston, or Seattle. Hybrid role.

Salary: $137,102–$246,784 base pay, plus eligibility for variable pay.

What you will do

• Migrate and modernize Windows-based .NET applications into containerized services on AWS EKS.
• Design and support reliable, scalable, and secure Kubernetes deployments.
• Tune PostgreSQL stored procedures, functions, queries, indexes, and execution plans.
• Build monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational runbooks using Dynatrace, Splunk, and CloudWatch.
• Remediate application security findings and support patching, secure configuration, and compliance follow-up.
• Maintain Terraform and Terragrunt infrastructure, support CI/CD and production deployments, and troubleshoot application, infrastructure, database, networking, security, and observability issues.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and application modernization, including migrating Windows-based .NET applications into containers; AWS EKS or Kubernetes experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes concepts including pods, deployments, services, ingress, config maps, secrets, resource management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience tuning PostgreSQL workloads, including stored procedures, functions, indexes, execution plans, and queries.
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch, or comparable observability and monitoring tools.
• Experience remediating application security findings and supporting secure deployment practices.
• Experience building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or platform engineering environments with CI/CD and automated deployments.
• Must reside in or near the designated Collaboration Hubs for this role.
