DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States, or onsite at offices in Washington, DC, New York, NY, or Chicago, IL.

Salary: $93,300–$150,100 per year, with a midpoint of $121,700; equity grant eligibility is included.

What you will do

• Own infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines that enable safe, frequent delivery of AI-powered products.
• Contribute infrastructure expertise to architecture decisions alongside product and data engineers.
• Improve observability, alerting, tracing, and incident response by identifying root causes and sharing learnings.
• Lead defined infrastructure projects from scoping through rollout.
• Maintain a secure, reliable, and cost-efficient AWS environment.
• Review infrastructure code, share knowledge, and use AI tools to improve infrastructure, debugging, and automation work.

Requirements

• Hands-on AWS experience with core services such as EC2, EKS or ECS, S3, IAM, and networking.
• 2–4 years of DevOps engineering experience, ideally in a small or mid-size company where multiple responsibilities were handled.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience owning projects end to end and clearly explaining technical tradeoffs to engineers outside infrastructure.
• Curiosity about AI and experience using AI tools to accelerate infrastructure, debugging, or automation work.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes experience.
