Senior Cloud Applications Developer (Kubernetes/AWS)

Location: USA; available in 13 locations.

Salary: $94,100–$141,100 per year, with actual compensation varying based on education, experience, skills, geographical location, internal equity, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters for high availability and scalability.
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, and Helm charts.
• Monitor and optimize Windows- and Linux-based systems for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support smooth application deployment and operation.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations providing 24/7 support for critical systems.

Requirements

• Understanding of FedRAMP or NIST frameworks and general troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of cloud security and infrastructure automation.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Expertise with Helm charts for Kubernetes application management.
• Solid understanding of Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to work under pressure.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• AWS certifications.
• Previous experience as a Cloud Applications Developer or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
