Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure)

Location: Hybrid in Tampa, FL; Camas, WA; or Plano, TX. Onsite for the first 90 days, followed by 75 onsite days per year or approximately one work-from-home day per week.

Salary: $140K–$160K plus a 10%–20% bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain secure, efficient, and resilient Azure cloud operations and production environments.
• Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and automation tooling for routine operations.
• Deploy enterprise-scale cloud resources through infrastructure as code and develop scalable AI infrastructure.
• Implement IaC, CI/CD, configuration management, and automated deployment strategies for consistent releases.
• Collaborate with solution architects, technical leads, and partners to align solutions with standards, security controls, and cloud best practices.
• Provide international and 24/7 on-call support, including flexible off-hours work for planned and unplanned maintenance.

Requirements

• Only US citizens or Green Card permanent residents will be considered; no other visa will be accepted.
• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience across platforms, including implementation and maintenance of Azure and AWS cloud services.
• 5+ years of experience building, deploying, and managing IaaS and PaaS services on Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• 4+ years of hands-on Terraform experience, including reusable modules, state management, and promoting infrastructure changes through automated CI/CD pipelines.
• 2 years of hands-on Kubernetes and containerized workload experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure AI or similar cloud-based AI platforms.
• Hands-on experience implementing cloud security and governance controls, including cloud platform policies, Defender for Cloud, secure landing zones, identity governance, secret management, and compliance enforcement.
• Strong networking knowledge covering DNS, routing, firewalls, and private access; scripting and automation experience; and Linux and Microsoft Windows server administration experience.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent cloud certification.
