Senior Business Analyst (Asset Management)

Location: Basildon, UK; hybrid work model. Additional locations: Essex/London.

What you will do

• Lead analysis activities across the project lifecycle for asset management client delivery and transformation initiatives.
• Support discovery and due diligence, defining scope and business outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
• Elicit, document, validate, and trace requirements and user stories to business objectives.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings, acting as liaison between business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and delivery leads.
• Assess operational, customer, and regulatory impacts and support readiness for implementation.
• Produce process maps, current and future state models, use cases, and other governed project deliverables; mentor junior team members and contribute to the Business Analysis Practice.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a Business Analyst role, ideally within complex transformation programs.
• Strong Asset Management domain knowledge.
• Experience with Business Analysis methodologies across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across business, technical, and client-facing environments.
• Confidence facilitating workshops, documenting clear outputs, influencing decisions, and communicating clearly in writing and verbally.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities in fast-paced, change-heavy environments.
• Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and manage ambiguity.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, quality outcomes, and business value.

Nice to have

• Experience in Asset Management areas including trade processing and settlement cycles, cash and stock reconciliation, corporate actions, custody and settlement interfaces, investor servicing, AML/KYC, CASS, and distributions.
