Senior SevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Mexico or the USA; fully remote, office-based, or hybrid work options are available.

Salary: EUR 4,150–5,400 gross per month. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Design, provision, and maintain production AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot production Amazon EKS and Kubernetes clusters.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Java backend services and React frontend applications.
• Optimize Java applications in containers, including JVM tuning, memory management, and Kubernetes resource configuration.
• Configure frontend deployment workflows with AWS S3, CloudFront, and/or Nginx.
• Monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot production issues, respond to critical incidents, perform Root Cause Analysis, and implement preventive measures.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a SevOps or DevOps Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Amazon EKS/Kubernetes, and Terraform, including modular Terraform configurations and production infrastructure.
• Strong Kubernetes knowledge covering pod management, networking, autoscaling, resource allocation, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including security checks and vulnerability scanning.
• Experience with Java build and deployment processes using Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application deployments.
• Understanding of JVM configuration, heap memory management, garbage collection, and Out-of-Memory troubleshooting.
• Experience with AWS S3, CloudFront, and/or Nginx.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, incident management, and Root Cause Analysis.
• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher.

• Experience with Salesforce deployment and release management.
• Familiarity with Salesforce DX and Metadata API.
