Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida, United States; telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve automated pipeline deployment infrastructure for testing and implementation environments.
• Manage and automate environment promotion and software releases in coordination with Release Managers and Development teams.
• Develop Jenkins Groovy shared libraries, reusable GitHub Actions, and automation using Ansible and other DevOps tools.
• Configure Maven builds, automate QA test execution, implement InfoSec tests, and collect metrics through dashboards.
• Provision Kubernetes/OpenShift namespaces, package releases with Helm, and automate database changes with Flyway in collaboration with DBAs.
• Support the migration from Bitbucket and Jenkins to GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions while enabling engineers to own their pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree in one of the listed fields and three years of experience in the required skills is acceptable.
• Experience collaborating with Release Managers, Development teams, and DBAs on software delivery, release builds, deployments, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, LaunchDarkly, AWS, Terraform, Continuous Delivery, and a You Build It, You Run It model.
• Experience maintaining Bitbucket, Jenkins, and OpenShift and using containerization technologies on AWS, including Fargate and Lambda serverless infrastructure.
• Experience building reusable platform capabilities, educating and upskilling engineers, and shifting from a DevOps support model to an enablement and platform model.
• Knowledge of lean release management, deployments and configuration as code, automation, repeatability, DevOps best practices, and 12-factor application design.
