Automation Engineer (Microsoft Power Platform)

Location: On-site at the San Diego Field Office, United States; US citizenship required to attain and maintain DHS clearance.

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support DHS ICE data analysis, process automation, data configuration, workflow configuration, reporting, and real-time metrics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, field-office teams, project managers, officers, and contractors to collect information and respond to requests.
• Align data with Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik dashboards and create dashboards for end-user visibility of metrics.
• Analyze business workflows, perform gap and trade-off analyses, and recommend practical technical solutions.
• Create project deliverables and compliance artifacts while assessing project and process effectiveness.
• Translate complex information from multiple sources into clear insights for mission leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of work experience, including 3+ years working in data and automation client environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power BI.
• Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance; US citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Ability to translate ICE-specific mission needs into practical data elements for analysis.
• Data exploration, data cleaning, visualization, data analytics, data modeling, data-flow mapping, and data design experience.
• Experience with Qlik, Tableau, Databricks, distributed data, and computing tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and independent-working abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to change direction quickly while tracking and executing ongoing tasks.
