Senior Business Analyst - E-ISAC (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote - DC Area, US; may require travel to NERC offices or meeting locations.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually.

The Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC), operated by the hirify.global, provides security analysis, information sharing, leadership, and collaboration for the North American electricity industry.

What you will do

• Partner with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, reporting, and data requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, technical specifications, business rules, KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis using SQL to identify trends, issues, data-quality gaps, and opportunities for informed decision-making.
• Evaluate current and future-state processes, support automation and solution design, and contribute to business cases and cost-benefit analyses.
• Facilitate requirements discussions, workshops, demonstrations, stakeholder reviews, and feedback sessions across business, analytics, project management, and technical teams.
• Support solution prioritization, delivery, monitoring, documentation, and continuous improvement while communicating findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a similar role supporting business and technology initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in system analysis, business, computer science, information systems, or an equivalent degree.
• Strong critical thinking, curiosity, desire to learn, goal orientation, and ability to solve complex issues and problems.
• Experience eliciting, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements, including facilitating meetings, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience translating business needs into user stories, process flows, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify business process improvement opportunities.
• Ability to independently analyze data using SQL to identify trends, validate requirements, investigate business issues, and support KPI development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while supporting multiple assignments concurrently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification documentation upon hire.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting analytics, business intelligence, data science, or data engineering teams.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and master data management concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data, AI, and machine learning services or similar cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Experience with AI technologies, including prompt engineering, model training and tuning, and large language models.
