Data Engineer with GCP (French-speaker)

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, 2 days per week; candidates must already be based in Portugal and have Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do

• Build and maintain data pipelines using ETL/ELT practices.
• Work with GCP services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer/Airflow.
• Design data models and schemas for data lakes and warehouses.
• Apply SQL, Git, and CI/CD practices to data engineering work.
• Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of data engineering experience with Python.
• Experience with GCP services, SQL, and Git.
• Experience with data modelling and schema design for data lakes and warehouses, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines with ETL/ELT and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English at B1 level.
• Fluency in French at B2 level.
• Availability for hybrid work in Lisbon, 2 days per week, with residence in Portugal and Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience with Control-M or other enterprise job orchestration tools.
• Experience with UAT and QA testing practices, including test automation.
