Senior Data Engineer (Airline Operations Intelligence)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal, with a hybrid working model combining onsite and offsite work. Other location: Coimbra.

hirify.global Defence and Space develops aerospace products and services, with this role supporting hirify.global internal departments through airline operations intelligence.

What you will do

• Gather, transform, augment, and deliver airline operational data from multiple sources to aircraft program, engineering, marketing, and strategy departments.
• Create, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using state-of-the-art data engineering practices.
• Create, maintain, and optimize BI dashboards.
• Create, maintain, and optimize AI agents, primarily on the Skywise/Palantir Foundry platform.
• Apply distributed computations and data architecture practices to analyze data volumes involving billions of data lines.
• Work in an Agile Scrum development team, drive initiatives, and expand responsibilities over time.

Requirements

• Master's degree in engineering or computer science.
• At least 3 years of experience as a data engineer, with proven experience manipulating enormous data volumes.
• Excellent Python, PySpark, and distributed computation skills.
• Excellent understanding of AI solutions.
• Good understanding of time series processing.
• Fluent English.
• Reliability, initiative, ownership, willingness to share knowledge, and the ability to collaborate constructively and contribute to a positive team environment.
