Logistics Operations Executive (Semiconductor Imports)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; onsite logistics operations role

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end import and export processes for GPUs, ICs, electronic components, equipment, and other critical materials.
• Coordinate commercial invoices, packing lists, AWB/BL, COO/Form E, HS codes, permits, customs declarations, and supporting documentation.
• Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, courier companies, suppliers, and Malaysian authorities to secure timely clearance and delivery.
• Monitor shipments from supplier pickup through customs clearance and final delivery, including schedules, ETAs, delivery commitments, and urgent recovery actions.
• Monitor forwarder performance, validate payment requests, and improve clearance and delivery processes.
• Support procurement, PMC, finance, quality, engineering, after-sales, NPI, new supplier setup, and production shortage recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, international trade, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in logistics, import/export, customs clearance, freight forwarding, or supply chain; fresh graduates are also considered.
• Hands-on experience with Malaysian import/export processes and customs clearance.
• Understanding of HS code classification, import permits, COO/Form E, customs declarations, and customs valuation.
• Familiarity with air freight, sea freight, and Incoterms.
• Able to speak and read Malay, English, and Mandarin.
• Able to work independently under pressure, manage urgent shipments, coordinate multiple parties, and drive issues to closure.
• Strong communication, negotiation, ownership, attention to detail, and risk-identification skills.

Nice to have

• Experience handling electronics, semiconductors, IT hardware, or high-value equipment.
• Experience working with customs brokers and international freight forwarders.
• ERP experience with systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
