Foundry Supply Chain and Sourcing Intern – Undergraduate (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; hybrid work with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site

Company

hirify.global's Foundry Construction and Sourcing organization sources, plans, engineers, and builds facilities and infrastructure for semiconductor manufacturing.

What you will do

• Support strategic sourcing, procurement, materials, inventory, logistics, planning, and supply chain analytics assignments.
• Analyze data and turn insights into recommendations.
• Use AI tools, Gemini, SQL, and Copilot for data automation where relevant.
• Improve processes, tools, systems, cost, quality, and execution.
• Prepare project updates, analyses, and recommendations.
• Work with professionals, suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional teams on real-world projects.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical/Process, or Materials Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Some assignments may require on-site work in a construction, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Curiosity, collaboration, analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, comfort working in a fast-moving environment, and eagerness to learn.

Nice to have

• Coursework, projects, internships, or experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, logistics, engineering, or manufacturing.
• Supplier or contractor management experience.
• Data analytics or visualization experience.
• Process improvement experience.
