Claims Supervisor (Property & Casualty Auto Claims)

Location: West Hills, California, United States; full-time onsite position with no remote option

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead, schedule, and support Claims Representatives and Claims Support Specialists, including coaching, performance evaluations, staffing, and development.
• Review automobile claim investigations and provide technical direction, handling recommendations, settlement authority, and payment authority.
• Oversee property damage, bodily injury, and subrogation claims from investigation through timely resolution.
• Monitor claim files for quality, accuracy, documentation, productivity, and service standards.
• Identify performance and quality trends and help improve claims processes, systems, procedures, and workflows.
• Partner with Claims leadership on operational goals while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with state, federal, Department of Insurance, and company requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience, including hands-on automobile claims handling.
• Experience with property damage, bodily injury, and subrogation claims.
• Strong understanding of insurance terminology, claims practices, standards, and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical claims direction and make sound, timely decisions in a high-volume, fast-paced claims environment.
• Ability to develop and motivate claims professionals, hold team members accountable, manage competing priorities, identify performance gaps, and provide actionable coaching.
• Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications, with the ability to work in a highly technical, paperless environment.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in the West Hills, CA office, maintain regular and predictable attendance, and pass a background check.
• Ability to build relationships with internal teams, partners, clients, and outside agencies; occasional travel may be required.
