Technical Manager - Automation and ICSS

What you will do

• Plan, scope, schedule, and manage complex automation projects and programs from initiation through closure, including budgets, resources, milestones, dependencies, and financial tracking.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, manage scope changes through formal change control, and maintain project documentation and status reporting.
• Govern automation system design and implementation, ensuring alignment with client requirements, industry practices, scope, quality, and performance criteria.
• Develop and enforce technical project management methodologies and conduct quality assurance reviews of technical deliverables.
• Act as the technical liaison for stakeholders and collaborate with engineering, service, and procurement teams.
• Coach, mentor, and review junior professionals and project engineers.

Requirements

• 12–15 years of experience in technical project management focused on industrial automation, electrification, or digitalization projects in the oil and gas and energy sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Independent project and process management experience with limited supervision, including coaching lower-level professionals.
• S7 Certified Programmer certification.
• Certified Professional certification for SIS, ESD, F&G, HMI, or SCADA.
• Certified Professional certification for industrial network switching and routing.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens PCS7 and experience with ICSS.
• Experience with complex automation projects, including brownfield retrofit and migration.
• Experience with project scoping, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder management, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and leadership.
• Experience with Microsoft Project.
