Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering (AI/ML)

Location: Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia; onsite at the Sarawak Kuching Office.

What you will do

• Install, calibrate, commission, troubleshoot, modify, and maintain precision manufacturing equipment and automation solutions.
• Perform systematic root cause analysis for equipment failures and process deviations.
• Interpret CAD drawings, schematics, equipment blueprints, and process documentation.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to address bottlenecks and improve yield, throughput, quality, and equipment capability.
• Develop maintenance procedures, technical documentation, safety standards, and technician training.
• Support equipment projects, equipment characterization, manufacturing capability development, and automation tooling improvements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Experience or capability in equipment installation, calibration, and commissioning.
• Systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for equipment failures and process deviations.
• Ability to read schematics, equipment blueprints, CAD drawings, and process documentation.
• Ability to optimize manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks, and improve yield, throughput, and quality.
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment assembly, maintenance, modifications, and improvements.
• Fresh graduates with relevant engineering qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Nice to have

• Foundational AI/ML literacy, including machine learning applications for predictive maintenance, defect detection, and process optimization using large datasets.
• Ability to track and manage multiple projects, commissioning activities, and improvement action plans.
