Senior Director, Engineering Group Leader (Structured Finance)

Location: New York, NY, United States; onsite role

Base salary: $136,500–$270,000 annually.

What you will do

• Define and execute the multi-year technology roadmap for Structured Finance, Structured Debt, Deal Administration, Trustee Services, and related Corporate Trust platforms.
• Lead modernization through cloud adoption, API enablement, event-driven architecture, data platforms, AI-enabled workflows, and engineering automation.
• Lead global teams across application development, platform engineering, quality engineering, and production support.
• Partner with Product, Operations, Corporate Trust leadership, clients, and business stakeholders to align roadmaps, investments, delivery, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee strategic programs, engineering metrics, governance, Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, SRE, and DORA-based performance improvement.
• Manage multi-million-dollar budgets, resource planning, vendors, workforce strategy, recruitment, retention, and organizational development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of software engineering and technology leadership experience in complex enterprise environments, including 8+ years leading large engineering organizations and managing managers.
• Proven delivery of large-scale technology transformation and modernization programs, including experience leading globally distributed engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, and platform engineering.
• Ability to influence senior executives and align business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong financial management, organizational leadership, and strategic planning experience.
• Leadership capability across strategic vision, engineering and architectural depth, execution, operations, people development, data-driven decisions, AI-first thinking, and executive stakeholder influence.

Nice to have

• Experience in Structured Finance, Structured Debt, Corporate Trust, Capital Markets, Fixed Income, Asset Servicing, or related financial services.
• Understanding of deal administration, trustee services, syndicated loans, structured products, securitization, or debt markets.
• Experience implementing AI-enabled engineering practices, intelligent automation, legacy modernization, and cloud migration for complex financial systems.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
