Executive Lead - SMB Development Engineering (Fintech)

What you will do

• Set SMB engineering strategy and connect major investments to growth, reliability, and security outcomes.
• Lead a global engineering organization of approximately 3,500 people, including its operating model and leadership succession.
• Modernize and simplify the product estate through API-first, cloud-native, and event-driven architecture.
• Establish common SDLC, testing, SRE, and developer productivity practices across SMB engineering.
• Deliver modernization, resiliency, performance, and cost programs while maintaining scope, quality, and timelines.
• Partner with Product, Operations, Finance, Sales, Risk, and Security on build-or-buy decisions, PCI DSS, privacy, fraud mitigation, and commercial outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience leading engineering at global scale on large, customer-facing platforms at or near the top technology leadership level.
• Experience leading large engineering organizations and setting their vision, plan, and roadmap.
• Strong product engineering background and experience operating platforms customers rely on daily.
• Demonstrated delivery of complex integrations and APIs with measurable resiliency, security, and performance results.
• Experience owning enterprise and platform architecture, including large-scale cloud modernization.
• Experience making build-or-buy decisions across development, corporate applications, and cloud.
• Experience moving legacy estates to modern platforms while keeping the business operating.
• Ability to translate business goals into technology priorities, make transparent trade-offs, change engineering culture at scale, and build leadership teams through internal development and hiring.

• Engineering leadership through an acquisition, from diligence through post-merger integration.
