Company

Bain & Company is a global consulting firm building an internal product platform for agentic decisioning and commercial analytics.

What you will do

  • Build and ship full-stack product features across React and TypeScript interfaces, APIs, and production deployments.
  • Develop dense analytical dashboards, scenario-planning tools, marketing ROI views, brand analytics interfaces, pricing displays, and real-time visualizations.
  • Integrate agentic and LLM-powered recommendations, confidence indicators, streaming responses, and uncertainty into user-facing interfaces.
  • Own component libraries, design-system implementation, CI/CD, automated testing, performance, reliability, authentication, authorization, and secure data handling.
  • Manage, mentor, recruit, and develop a small team of mid- to senior-level engineers, including performance reviews and professional development plans.
  • Work with design, AI engineering, data, product, consulting, and senior stakeholders to improve the platform based on live client usage.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Deep proficiency in React and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, performance optimization, and maintainable large-scale frontend codebases.
  • Strong server-side development experience building reliable, versioned, performant APIs and backend services for analytical and AI-generated outputs.
  • Experience creating data-dense analytical interfaces, chart-heavy dashboards, real-time scenario tools, comparison views, and allocation displays with modern visualization libraries.
  • Experience integrating LLM and agentic AI capabilities into user-facing products, including AI-generated outputs, streaming responses, and confidence indicators.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals covering clean and testable code, component library governance, CI/CD, automated testing, debugging, and performance profiling.
  • Experience deploying and operating full-stack applications on Azure or AWS with containerization and cloud-native monitoring.
  • Understanding of authentication, authorization, secure data handling, and DevSecOps in enterprise applications.
  • At least 10 years of full-stack software engineering experience with substantial hands-on frontend and backend work, plus direct experience managing engineers, conducting reviews, and planning professional development.
  • Experience shipping production applications with analytical interfaces, leading a design system or component library, mentoring engineers, and setting engineering standards.
  • Experience with agile cross-functional product teams and production issue resolution. Client-facing or consulting-adjacent experience is a strong advantage.
  • Active use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent.
  • Applications must be submitted in English.

Culture & Benefits

  • Permanent full-time employment within a product team operating with early-stage ownership inside an established global firm.
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus and possible additional discretionary compensation.
  • 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, increasing after three years and fully vested upon start date.
  • Company-paid individual medical, dental, and vision premiums, plus paid parental leave, sick leave, holidays, life insurance, and long-term disability insurance.
  • Work closely with consulting teams and enterprise clients across live commercial engagements.
