Systems Administrator (Linux/Windows)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; onsite

Salary: $65.00–$100.96 per hour

What you will do

• Administer Linux and Windows systems, virtualization platforms such as VMware or KVM, and Splunk.
• Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Optimize system operations and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support.
• Manage system administration interdependencies within Service Oriented Architecture environments.
• Support systems through the full life cycle, from requirements determination through operations and retirement.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator.
• Experience administering Linux and Windows systems and managing virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, or similar.
• Experience with Splunk and with IT systems implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Experience optimizing system operations and performing capacity analysis and planning.
• Ability to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
• Knowledge of system administration interdependencies within Service Oriented Architecture.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required; selected applicants are subject to a security investigation and eligibility review for classified information access.
• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 15 years of systems administration experience, or a high school diploma and 20 years of systems administration experience.
