20117 - System Administrator III (Windows/Linux/VMware)

Location: West Point, GA; 5 days on-site. The facility operates 24/7, and availability for different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required.

Salary: $30.00–$43.00 per hour, plus overtime.

What you will do

• Design, install, configure, patch, maintain, and manage Windows and Linux servers and enterprise infrastructure.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file and print services, Exchange, SQL, storage, VMware/vSphere, and cloud-integrated resources.
• Diagnose complex hardware, software, and system issues, perform root-cause analysis, review logs, and prepare incident reports for production-impacting events.
• Develop, test, and validate backup and disaster recovery strategies for servers, Exchange, and SQL databases.
• Implement monitoring, analyze performance and capacity, develop PowerShell automation, and improve reliability and operational efficiency.
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects, security and compliance activities, vendor coordination, procurement documentation, ITSM processes, and stakeholder communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a primary administrator for Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• At least 2 years of experience administering VMware vSphere environments.
• Strong expertise in enterprise server administration, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver assignments and projects within defined scope and timelines.

Nice to have

• VMware vSAN experience.
• Microsoft Windows Server or VMware vSphere/vSAN certifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong planning, organization, and documentation skills with successful project delivery experience.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and interact professionally with internal and external customers.
