Systems Administrator 3 - Linux/STE/STN/Virtualization/Ansible/Python/Kubernetes/Docker

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD; candidates must be U.S. citizens holding a current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Support large mixed contractor/civilian SA/SE teams across DevOps and live systems.
• Administer Linux and Windows physical systems and virtual machines.
• Monitor systems, review mission-critical updates, and resolve JIRA tickets.
• Support backend environments, authentication, DNS, shared drives, home directories, and system communications.
• Coordinate with systems administrators, systems engineers, network engineers, civilian tasking, and leadership across multiple contracts.

Requirements

• Current Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph and U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• Fifteen years of experience providing systems administration support.
• Linux administration experience sufficient to meet the required LCAT experience level.
• Experience with STE/STN and DISA STIG compliance on Linux systems.
• Storage management experience, including CFS/DFS and NetApp.
• Virtualization experience with Proxmox, RH KVM, or VMware.
• IP networking and firewall experience.
• Some experience with containers or cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Automation tools such as Ansible or Salt.
• Scripting with Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Backup tools such as Rubrik or NetBackup.
• Hyperconverged infrastructure experience with Harvester, Nutanix, or Cisco HyperFlex.
