Senior Staff Product Manager (AI Robotics)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States

Annual salary: $180,000–$220,000, plus benefits and incentive plans.

What you will do

• Define the FF Robotics EAI Brain portfolio and supporting software, including embodied AI, perception and navigation, motion control, VLA and world-model capabilities, voice and multimodal interaction, Skills and Agents, and developer tools.
• Translate market needs and product strategy into requirements documents, use cases, user journeys, functional specifications, operating boundaries, dependencies, and measurable success criteria.
• Own the product backlog, feature priorities, release scope, requirements traceability, and change impact management.
• Drive delivery milestones with engineering and program teams, resolve blockers, escalate risks, and manage scope, schedule, and quality trade-offs.
• Define release acceptance criteria covering functional completeness, user experience, AI task success, response time, reliability, and recovery behavior.
• Lead scenario reviews, demonstrations, usability evaluations, real-robot validation, product acceptance sign-off, release readiness recommendations, and customer-scenario feedback loops.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant professional experience, including substantial ownership of technical product definition and delivery for robotics, AI software, developer platforms, or comparable complex products.
• Ability to turn high-level product direction into precise, actionable requirements and acceptance criteria for engineering execution.
• Strong technical fluency in AI and software systems, including model limitations, deployment constraints, hardware and software dependencies, and performance and reliability trade-offs.
• Experience shipping products through cross-functional teams, managing scope and delivery risks, and accepting releases against measurable experience and quality standards.
• Strong product judgment, structured problem solving, clear written communication, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders and engineers in a matrix organization without direct authority.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with embodied AI, robotic autonomy, VLA models, world models, motion control, human–robot interaction, Skills or Agent platforms, or robotics developer ecosystems.
• Experience validating AI capabilities on physical robots across simulation, deployment, and field operations.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and requirements management tools and practices.
• Experience working with teams in the United States and China.
• Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus.
