Technical Architect – Sales and Solutions Engineering

Location: Onsite in Spring, Texas, United States; travel to customer and partner sites, including international travel, is required. US citizens or Green Card holders only.

Base salary: $126,500–$290,500 annual salary in Texas, United States; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Advise customers during engagements, workshops, solution reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Gather customer requirements and translate business needs into integrated technical solutions.
• Design and build solutions with software, hardware, engineering, field, presales, sales, product, and customer teams.
• Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, PoCs, pilots, benchmarking, and solution showcases.
• Provide advanced support during deployment, integration, and post-production phases.
• Troubleshoot complex customer issues, lead root-cause analysis, and support successful solution adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
• Typically 6–10 years of experience.
• Strong software engineering and programming experience for integrating technical solutions.
• Experience designing and integrating software and hardware systems across multiple platform types into an overall architecture.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in areas such as cloud, automation, containers, AI, storage, and networking.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, guide and mentor less experienced staff, and lead and inspire teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with mastery of English and the ability to communicate effectively with field teams and senior management in a global organization.
• Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder.

Nice to have

• Experience with HPE Compute, Storage, Networking, and Software solutions, or equivalent infrastructure platforms.
• Experience with cloud management platforms and cloud infrastructure management solutions, AI infrastructure and use cases, automation, storage, and networking.
