Principal Enterprise Architect (AI)

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America

Salary: $147,050–$230,850 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for United States candidates.

What you will do

• Help define and operationalize the enterprise architecture operating model, principles, standards, decision rights, and value measures.
• Lead architecture for major enterprise initiatives from strategy and discovery through target-state definition, transition planning, and delivery guidance.
• Develop current-state assessments, target and reference architectures, and multiyear transformation roadmaps.
• Guide application rationalization, modernization, reuse, interoperability, lifecycle management, and technical debt reduction.
• Set architecture direction and guardrails for enterprise AI platforms, including generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning, MLOps, data access, model lifecycle management, and observability.
• Partner with business, strategy, product, engineering, data, cloud, security, infrastructure, and technology leaders; participate in the Architecture Review Board and coach architects and senior technologists.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of progressive technology experience, including enterprise architecture experience in a large, complex, global organization.
• Experience developing target architectures, reference architectures, standards, and multiyear roadmaps across multiple architecture domains.
• Experience shaping enterprise technology strategy and influencing platform, portfolio, modernization, and investment decisions without direct reporting authority.
• Experience with cloud, data, integration, SaaS, packaged applications, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Strong ability to translate business strategy into practical technology direction and communicate recommendations and tradeoffs to executives, architects, engineers, and delivery teams.
• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
