Senior Technical Project Manager (Aerospace Robotics)

Location: Mukilteo, Washington, United States; on-site. Travel required: 30% domestic and international.

Salary: $160,000–$188,000 per year, including a variable performance-based component.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end robotics and automated tooling programs from requirements definition through CISS, CIPS, production deployment, and ramp-up.
• Own scope, schedule, cost, risk, budgets, earned value, forecasts, resource plans, and integrated master schedules.
• Coordinate mechanical design, controls, software, systems engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and customer production sites.
• Drive technical integration across robotics, motion control, vision, tooling, factory integration, interface definitions, validation, and readiness gates.
• Lead PDR, CDR, FDR, risk reviews, program reviews, status reporting, and executive-level updates.
• Support procurement, installation, commissioning, production readiness, proposal development, cost estimation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; an MS is preferred.
• 10+ years managing complex technical programs in robotics, automation, aerospace tooling, or capital equipment.
• Experience delivering integrated hardware/software systems into production environments.
• Strong understanding of industrial robotics, controls systems, and automated manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or CATIA for design reviews and technical discussions.
• Experience with program management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
• Familiarity with configuration control, change management, and structured engineering review processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across engineering, operations, and executive leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with aerospace OEM production systems and requirements.
• Experience with robotic drilling, fastening, inspection, or assembly automation.
• PMP certification or equivalent program management training.
• Experience with international programs and supplier coordination.
• Familiarity with industrial automation safety standards, including ISO, ANSI/RIA, and CE.
• Prior experience with aerospace automation integrators.
