Mid-Level Project Management Specialist (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Salary: $76,150–$116,800 annual base pay range

What you will do

• Manage the full life cycle of ongoing multi-year and near-term projects and serve as a liaison among program management, planning, project teams, and operational leadership.
• Review project plans, budgets, and schedules and prepare and present status reports to stakeholders, including executives.
• Assess production issues and develop solutions supporting productivity, quality, and customer service deliverables.
• Develop progress-monitoring, intervention, problem-solving, accountability, risk-mitigation, and resource-support mechanisms across internal functions and external suppliers.
• Ensure capital equipment meets capacity, throughput, quality, and timing requirements and present equipment updates to executive stakeholders.
• Assist with team training, mentoring, development, process improvements, new strategies, and innovative concepts.

Requirements

• 4+ years of related aerospace manufacturing experience involving heavy structures, such as fuselages.
• Ability to create and present in-depth presentations to executive-level management.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with accountability and minimal supervision.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience with commercial or government aerospace manufacturing.
• PMP or another PMI certification.
• Technical aerospace manufacturing background for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with individual project management and tracking within a larger portfolio.
• Expertise in developing project schedules, balancing multiple projects, and coordinating status and performance against plan.
• Business acumen for quantifying project implications and coordinating with Finance on tracking to plan.
• Ability to lead through influence across multiple teams.
• Experience with SAP, MES, root cause analysis, risk assessment, and risk mitigation.
• Experience building partnerships with internal customers and external vendors.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments, lean practices, and industrial engineering concepts.
