Senior RF Test Engineer (Wi-Fi HaLow)

What you will do

• Run conducted TX/RX and over-the-air RF tests on reference designs, EVKs, third-party modules, customer designs, and production samples.
• Process and analyse RF test data using engineering statistics and hirify.global test software.
• Compare results with performance targets, specifications, and known-good baselines to determine whether differences are significant.
• Validate sample quality, firmware and hardware releases, RF limits, and capability studies.
• Write concise reports with data-backed recommendations and maintain consistent, repeatable test setups and procedures.
• Participate in technical meetings and follow up on blocking issues with engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on RF test experience with applied knowledge of RF components and integrated circuits.
• Working knowledge of RF test equipment and practices, including Wi-Fi testers, spectrum analysers, signal generators, power meters, shielded enclosures, and calibration.
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi RF metrics including TX power, EVM, spectral mask, and RX sensitivity.
• Strong practical statistics skills, including selecting and correctly applying methods and producing clear, defensible conclusions.
• Clear technical writing and a structured, detail-oriented approach.
• Effective use of AI tools for analysis, scripting, and reporting, with judgement to verify their output.

Nice to have

• Background in wireless communications, RF, or signal processing.
• Experience with JMP, Minitab, R, or similar statistical software.
• Ability to run and modify Python test and analysis scripts.
• Knowledge of 802.11ah, Wi-Fi HaLow, or other sub-GHz IoT radios.
• OTA, chamber, or range testing experience.
• Quality engineering or Six Sigma background.
