What you will do

• Lead, support, and develop the Melbourne Fire Engineering team.
• Build a collaborative, high-performing culture through coaching, mentoring, recruitment support, and workforce planning.
• Provide senior technical leadership on complex fire engineering projects and review fire safety solutions and deliverables.
• Maintain client and industry relationships, identify opportunities, support proposals and tenders, and help win new work.
• Develop strategies, business plans, and growth objectives to strengthen the hirify.global presence across Victoria.
• Represent the organisation at client meetings, presentations, networking events, industry forums, and professional networks.

Requirements

• Significant fire engineering experience with strong technical knowledge and project delivery experience.
• Experience leading complex fire engineering projects from inception through completion.
• Previous experience managing, mentoring, or leading engineers.
• Strong understanding of the Australian Building Code, relevant Standards, and fire safety engineering practices.
• Strong client management, communication, presentation, business development, and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical quality, people development, client needs, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Chartered status or the ability to obtain chartered status.
