Senior Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States of America; hybrid schedule with four days in-office and one day working from home

Salary: $97,100–$161,800 annual (USD)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support secure, clean, and resilient banking applications within the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Analyze technical and business requirements for completeness, feasibility, and accuracy.
• Review pull requests and code, resolve merge conflicts, and manage code changes and deployments.
• Contribute to application architecture discussions, Azure migration and modernization, and collaboration with dependent teams.
• Document and communicate technical implementation details while adhering to banking risk, regulatory, audit, and internal-control standards.
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and provide after-hours application support.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree plus at least 5 years of systems analysis and/or application development experience; or bachelor’s degree plus at least 3 years; or, without a degree, at least 7 years of combined education and relevant experience including at least 3 years in systems analysis and/or application development.
• Advanced proficiency in C#/.NET and strong practical knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack.
• Experience with Azure development, application support, and application migration and modernization in Azure.
• Experience actively participating in Scrum/Agile teams.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and documentation skills.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach; ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly; comfort working in a changing environment and taking ownership.
• Willingness to participate in the team’s on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when scheduled.
