Lead Software Engineer, API Integrations (.NET)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; hybrid schedule with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and location; incentive compensation may also be available.

What you will do

• Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities for Commercial Banking requirements.
• Translate business requirements into system and application designs aligned with technology roadmaps.
• Design and document technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, APIs, and integrations.
• Lead multiple complex technology solutions and drive continuous platform improvements.
• Lead design reviews with project stakeholders and ensure alignment with business and architecture requirements.
• Mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and problem solving.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications.
• Strong experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Web API, JSON, Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server, and enterprise web applications.
• Experience across backend, frontend, API integrations, security, and cloud infrastructure, including React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and related technologies.
• Strong Microsoft Azure experience, including App Services, Functions, Storage, Key Vault, Azure Monitor or Application Insights, and Entra ID/Azure AD.
• Experience with databases, ETL, and CI/CD tools such as SQL MI, SSIS, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, GitHub, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Nice to have

• Experience with Fenergo CLM or similar client lifecycle, onboarding, KYC, or AML platforms.
• Experience with the Fen-X SaaS platform, Salesforce CRM, and internal or third-party applications.
• Familiarity with master data management and customer or entity hierarchy solutions.
• Experience designing highly available systems with disaster recovery and multi-environment promotion.
