Senior Application Development Engineer (SQL Server)

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, optimize, and support complex enterprise software solutions.
• Create and re-engineer Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and tables to stage and transform claim, authorization, member, and provider data for correspondence.
• Maintain and enhance the in-house letter application using SQL Server, C#, Word document generation, and SSIS-based PDF conversion.
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion, and schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot ActiveBatch jobs.
• Perform data analysis, testing, production support, and issue resolution for data, performance, and letter-generation problems.
• Document designs, data flows, and support procedures; collaborate with technical and business stakeholders on solution design and contribute to data marts, EDI X12, EDW feeds, and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years of related experience, including 4–6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development.
• SQL Server experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, index creation, and performance tuning.
• 3+ years of C# development.
• 3+ years of SSIS development.
• Ability to perform data analysis, testing, production support, technical documentation, and communicate issues to business and technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with EDI.
• Experience with healthcare or managed care data.
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification or experience.
