Senior Software Engineer (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of software solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Contribute to the architectural design of scalable and efficient software systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and software development best practices.
• Drive initiatives from concept to production while balancing innovation, speed, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience with large-scale or complex systems.
• Experience in software development with proficiency in JavaScript, C#, Java, .NET, .NET Core, React, and Angular.
• Proficiency with relational databases including SQL Server and with MongoDB.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, API development, AWS, CI/CD practices, SDLC, Agile, version control systems, and software development tools.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Expert-level proficiency is required in CI/CD practices, LIMS, SQL, MongoDB, C#, .NET, .NET Core, Java, Agile, API, RESTful APIs, SDLC, AWS, and React.

Nice to have

• M.S. or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in healthcare, clinical diagnostics, genomics, or NGS environments.
