Inventory Operations Lead (AI Hardware)

Location: Fully onsite in San Jose and based at the Milpitas site; reliable transportation between San Jose and Milpitas is required. Relocation support is available for candidates moving to San Jose.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Supervise the Milpitas Inventory team, including priorities, shift coverage, scheduling, training, and hands-on floor leadership.
• Own end-to-end receiving, inspection, ERP transactions, labeling, put-away, material routing, packaging, and outbound shipments.
• Maintain on-hand, allocated, in-transit, and consigned inventory accuracy; run cycle counts and investigate variances to root cause.
• Coordinate kitting and internal fulfillment for in-house and contract-manufacturer builds, including shortages, substitutions, tools, and supplies.
• Own ESD, 5S, safety, warehouse organization, equipment certification, and material movement between facilities.
• Write SOPs, improve labeling and material flow, and plan space, staffing, and systems for higher volumes and additional production lines.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of inventory or warehouse operations experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, NetSuite, or a comparable ERP for receiving, transfers, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments.
• Experience managing inventory and leading a team through priority-setting, scheduling, training, and performance standards.
• Proficiency in Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, and creating weekly reports from transaction data.
• Experience running cycle-count programs and investigating inventory variances to root cause.
• Strong communication and coordination skills across Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Comfort working on the floor in ESD-controlled areas, lifting up to 50 lb, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between San Jose and Milpitas.

Nice to have

• Electronics manufacturing experience, including SMT/PCBA, MSD, and ESD handling.
• Experience managing consigned or customer-furnished material at contract manufacturers.
• Lab or warehouse experience in semiconductor or hardware environments.
• Experience supporting inventory audits or compliance processes.
• Startup operations or fast-paced R&D experience.
• Forklift certification; training on the 8,000 lb forklift will be provided.
