TL;DR
Inventory Analyst (Aerospace Manufacturing): Maintaining physical stock accuracy and optimizing inventory workflows for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods with an accent on cycle counting, ERP/WMS data integrity, and audit-ready reconciliation. Focus on analyzing complex variances, managing non-conforming aerospace components, and improving stockroom workflows in a high-reliability manufacturing environment.

Location: San Francisco, CA; full-time, in-office position five days per week. The role requires access to export-controlled information under EAR/ITAR requirements.

Salary: $34.28–$42.84 USD per hour.

Company

hirify.global designs, builds, and operates an imaging satellite constellation and delivers satellite data through a cloud-based platform to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian users.

What you will do

  • Plan, execute, and refine daily and weekly ABC-based cycle count programs and analyze variance trends and root causes.
  • Lead physical inventory reconciliation for internal control reviews and external compliance audits, maintaining audit trails in ERP/WMS systems.
  • Manage the end-to-end MRB process with Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing, including dispositions for scrap, rework, and obsolete revision parts.
  • Design and improve bin, shelf, and rack locations to increase stockroom efficiency, inventory velocity, and 5S compliance.
  • Research complex inventory discrepancies, review transactional histories, monitor stock levels, and prevent shortages and overages across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Provide technical guidance for kitting workflows and ad-hoc logistics activities during high-demand production periods.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or stockroom analysis; a bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent career experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and use strong judgment and analytical skills to resolve complex inventory issues.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and email communication.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle and WMS tools, with a record of maintaining complete, audit-ready data integrity.
  • Experience managing raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, safely operate ladders or reach trucks, and work on foot for extended periods in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail, basic numerical literacy, organizational discipline, problem-solving skills, and decision-making ability.
  • Willingness to support flexible schedules, non-standard shifts, overtime, or weekends based on production needs.
  • Ability to access applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing under EAR/ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

  • Advanced hands-on experience with complex inventory transactions, reporting, and reconciliations in NetSuite ERP.
  • Deep component-level familiarity with high-mix PCBA inventory, including resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, and hardware revisions.
  • Experience preparing datasets for and hosting external financial inventory auditors.
  • Experience in high-reliability manufacturing environments governed by flight hardware standards, lot/serial traceability, ESD/FOD prevention, and 5S frameworks.
  • Experience refining inventory control procedures and adapting standard frameworks into improved operational workflows.

Culture & Benefits

  • People-centric culture focused on belonging, inclusion, and collaboration across hardware, manufacturing, data processing, and software teams.
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans, with an HSA and company contribution.
  • Paid time off, holidays, company-wide days off, and 16 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Wellness and employee assistance programs, home office reimbursement, and monthly phone and internet reimbursement.
  • Tuition reimbursement, LinkedIn Learning access, equity, commuter benefits for local office employees, and paid volunteering time off.
