Enterprise AI Security Architect (AI)

Location: Remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii and Alaska. Travel is required as needed for divisional, team, and other in-person meetings.

Salary: $186,660–$248,750 annually depending on work location; national average range is $186,660–$207,400. Annual discretionary bonus eligibility is up to 15% of eligible pay.

What you will do

• Lead security architecture and technical design for AI and emerging technologies across cloud, identity, data, applications, infrastructure, integrations, and third-party services.
• Translate cybersecurity strategies, policies, and controls into reference architectures, standards, secure design patterns, and scalable guardrails.
• Partner with enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, engineering, and business leaders to embed security into platforms, products, and technology strategies.
• Review complex solution designs, identify risks, and recommend balanced approaches addressing innovation, business outcomes, regulations, and risk.
• Evaluate generative AI and other emerging technologies, guide responsible adoption, and influence governance, exceptions, and technology investments.
• Advise senior leaders, mentor architects and engineers, and strengthen enterprise security architecture practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, architecture, engineering, or a related technology discipline, including significant experience leading enterprise security architecture in complex environments.
• Ability to translate technical security risks into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
• Experience designing AI security architecture for cloud-native AI infrastructure or machine learning environments.
• Experience designing and securing on-premises or hybrid AI infrastructure, including GPU-accelerated compute, private AI/ML platforms, model hosting environments, data pipelines, and network, identity, storage, and workload security controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.

Nice to have

• AWS cloud security experience.
• Experience implementing generative AI governance controls and knowledge of AI threat modeling and risk frameworks, ideally NIST AI RMF.
• Understanding of large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, and AI service providers.
• Experience developing security roadmaps, standards, reference architectures, and secure design patterns.
• Experience advising senior leaders and influencing technology, security, and risk decisions.
• Experience with AI security, generative AI, machine learning, or other emerging technologies.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience designing systems using both SQL and NoSQL databases and applying cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience in customer relationship management, marketing, insurance and claims, or financial systems.
