Senior AI Security Architect (AI)

Location: Remote, United States; quarterly travel to hirify.global's headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois.

Estimated base salary: $152,000–$209,000 per year, plus eligibility for discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead security reviews and assessments for AI, Generative AI, machine learning, and AI agent solutions.
• Define AI security standards, architectures, best practices, governance requirements, and approval processes.
• Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and enterprise risk assessments for AI applications and platforms.
• Establish security controls and guardrails for LLMs, AI copilots, RAG solutions, AI agents, and related technologies.
• Evaluate AI technologies, platforms, vendors, and use cases from a security and risk perspective.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, Data & Analytics, Infrastructure, R&D, Privacy, Legal, and Quality teams, while advising and mentoring technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, enterprise architecture, or related technology disciplines.
• Experience securing AI, Generative AI, machine learning, cloud, or advanced analytics environments.
• Strong understanding of AI security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, model poisoning, adversarial attacks, and unauthorized model access.
• Hands-on experience with AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or similar technologies.
• Experience with threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and enterprise risk assessments.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, cloud security, data protection, encryption, API security, and AI governance principles.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence across a complex global organization.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft security technologies including Purview, Defender, Entra ID, and Azure security services.
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 42001, or ISO 27001.
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, medical device, manufacturing, automotive, or other compliance-intensive environments.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar credentials.
