Cybersecurity Architect

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. Travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required as business needs dictate.

Salary: $163,700–$245,500 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Design and review secure architectures for cloud, infrastructure, applications, identity, networks, and data environments.
• Develop threat models, analyze attack surfaces, conduct risk assessments, and recommend mitigations.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews, advising engineering, infrastructure, product, and business stakeholders.
• Advance zero-trust, least-privilege, defense-in-depth, and secure-by-default practices across enterprise systems.
• Translate HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework requirements into technical architecture controls and mappings.
• Support technology initiatives, vendor integrations, customer security reviews, and third-party due diligence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 5–8 years of overall information security experience, including at least 2 years in cybersecurity or security architecture.
• Experience securing cloud, application, infrastructure, and data environments, including AWS and Azure.
• Experience with threat modeling, architectural reviews, security risk assessments, and security control design.
• Experience working in regulated environments and supporting HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST CSF requirements.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States; onsite travel may be required.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), or an equivalent cloud security or architecture certification.
• Experience mentoring technical teams and influencing secure design practices.
