Associate Design Engineer (PTC Creo)

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota; 5 days per week in the office, Monday through Friday

Salary: $81,370–$122,060 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop new and existing components, assemblies, and systems for hirify.global equipment.
• Create 3D models for new designs using PTC Creo.
• Develop functional requirements and translate them into detailed design documents.
• Coordinate drafting teams producing manufacturing drawings for designed parts.
• Perform basic to intermediate analyses, including finite element and bolted joint analysis, to refine designs.
• Communicate technical information and collaborate with engineering teams, product groups, project leads, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Knowledge of decision-making processes and tools, with the ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions.
• Analytical thinking skills, including root-cause analysis and development of alternative solutions.
• Technical excellence and the ability to provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
• Effective communication skills for transmitting, receiving, and interpreting technical information.
• Knowledge of 3D software and its use in producing 3D models.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with PTC Creo or other parametric 3D modeling or simulation tools.
• Experience with manufacturing or fabrication.
• Experience maintaining or operating heavy equipment.
